Sister & Safety Stan

The kids' series. Sister the safety puppy and her best friend Stan walk young viewers through the rules that keep them safe — crossing streets, riding bikes, buckling up, and knowing what to do around the school bus. Long episodes live on YouTube; the one-minute Safety Minute cutdowns run on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram.

Bad Choices Happen!

Rick tailgates, Rick texts, Rick “knows a shortcut.” Every short is a laugh with a lesson inside — because better choices lead to a better tomorrow.

Meet the cast

The crew behind the lessons

Three do it the right way. One does it every other way possible — and that's the lesson.

The Right Example

Safety Richard

Richard does it the right way — signals every turn, buckles every time, phone stays put. He's the standard the rest of the crew (and one crew member in particular) gets measured against.

Sister & Safety Stan

Sister leads and Stan, age 10, keeps the checklist. Together they turn big safety rules into things a kid can actually remember — one adventure, one rule, one smart choice at a time.

The Cautionary Tale

Reckless Rick

Rick is a good ol' boy with bad habits and total confidence. Every episode, his shortcuts meet the real world — and the real world wins. Laugh at Rick, learn from Rick.

“Don't Be a Rick!”

The real Sister — a chocolate-brown dog with a white chest bib and white front paws, resting on the grass in her blue bandana

Yes — Sister is a real dog

The cartoon Sister is drawn from a real pup: a chocolate-brown Australian Shepherd / Collie mix with a white chest bib, white front paws, and strong opinions about safety. She's the heart of the kids' series — started by her human, “Pop Pop” to three grandchildren, so the little ones in his family (and yours) grow up knowing how to stay safe.

The Trick-or-Treat Checklist

Halloween night is the most dangerous night of the year for kids on foot. Run Sister & Stan's five checks before anybody heads out the door:

  • Be easy to see — glow sticks, flashlights, bright tape (face paint beats a mask!)
  • Cross smart — corners and crosswalks, look left-right-left
  • Stay together — with your grown-up, on the sidewalk, never go inside a stranger's house
  • Watch for cars backing up — white lights mean stop and wait
  • The candy check — a grown-up inspects every treat first
For grown-ups: carry a flashlight, agree the route and a finish time before you leave, and do the candy check at home before anything gets eaten.

Play & learn

The Paws & Think! Safety Quiz

Five quick questions, straight from the episodes. Grown-ups: play it together and talk through the “why” — that's where the learning sticks.

For grown-ups

Lessons for the driver's seat

The kids get Sister & Stan. You get Richard's rules — and Rick's warnings.

Safety Richard's Rules of the Road

From a professional driver and former EMT who's seen what one bad second can do:

  • Use your turn signal — every turn, every lane change
  • Move over and slow down for stopped vehicles
  • Don't text and drive — the phone can wait
  • Buckle up, every seat, every trip
  • Look twice for motorcycles

Learn from Rick (so you don't pay for it like Rick)

Rick's shorts run about a minute each — tailgating, blind spots, green-light phone scrolling, the works. The jokes land on Rick; the lesson lands on everybody watching.
